2. APPLICATION FOR LIEN AMNESTY

   The purpose of the City's Lien Amnesty Program is to provide property owners an opportunity to resolve outstanding code enforcement liens by offering a limited-time reduction of fines as authorized by the City Commission.  This program aims to encourage property owners to bring their properties into compliance with the City’s Code of Ordinances and/or Florida Building Code, promoting community health, safety, and aesthetic standards.  Interested property owners should review the information and standards listed on our City's Lien Amnesty Program webpage in full to first, see if they are eligible for this program, and second, to fully understand all aspects and requirements of this program.  Our team stands ready to assist you through this process.

   NOTE: IF YOUR PROPERTY OR ANY PROPERTY OWNED BY YOU IN THE CITY IS NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH OUR CODE OF ORDINANCES AND/OR FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, YOU ARE INELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM AND SHOULD NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION UNTIL THESE VIOLATIONS ARE RESOLVED.

    I certify under penalty of perjury that the information contained in this application is true, correct and complete to the best of my knowledge.  I have read and fully understand the standards of this program, and certify I meet eligibility standards. I acknowledge my understanding that should I not meet these standards following the City's review of my application, the City reserves the right to reject my application and I will forfeit my non-refundable application fee.  I understand that should I fail to provide accurate information as required by the City, or omit information, the City reserves the right to reject my application.  I understand there is no appeal process related to the City's decision to accept or reject my request for lien amnesty.  Should the City approve my application, I understand I shall pay a release of lien fee prior to any reduction and release of my lien.  Additionally, I understand that upon the City notifying me I have been approved for lien amnesty, I shall submit payment within ninety (90) days.  Failure to pay with this time frame shall result in the City rescinding the approval, and the lien amount will be reinstated.  I understand should I become unresponsive to the City for 30 calendar days or more, the City will reject my application and I will be required to submit a new application and application fee for the City to reconsider.
