Island City University (ICU) provides a strong base for civic-minded residents, potential volunteers and residents interested in public service. During this seven -week program, students learn all about the operations of the Island City.
The 2025 Island City University will begin on July 07, 2025. Applications are being accepted from January 27, 2025, through May 30, 2025.

- July 14 – Historical Society and EM/Utilities - Held at Richardson Historic Park & Nature Preserve.
- July 21 – Community Development Services and Fire & CERT - Held at City Hall Commission Chambers.
- July 28 – Police - Held at City Hall Commission Chambers.
- August 4 – Human Resources - Held at Richardson Historic Park & Nature Preserves.
- August 11 – Finance and Leisure Services - Held at Hagen Park.
- Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 7:00p.m. is Graduation!
Held at the Regular City Commission Meeting.
