Residential Irrigation Rebate Program

The City has partnered with Broward County to offer our residents rebates for improvements to their irrigation systems. As part of this program, the County sends someone out to evaluate your system and makes recommendations for water conservation improvements (like digital irrigation controllers and solenoid valves). Eligible residents can earn up to $500 rebates if they make the improvements using a licensed contractor. This is another tool in our suite of incentives to help you conserve our limited resources and ensure Life's Just Greener Here!

To be eligible, your property must use metered, City-provided water. At this time, residents who use well water are not eligible for the rebate.

Can I apply for the rebate if I already made upgrades?

You must go through the initial evaluation and then make any upgrades to be eligible for the rebate.

How long is the rebate program open?

A limited number of rebates are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Apply soon to secure yours!

If you're approved after filling out an application, a representative will reach out to schedule the on-site visit at your home. You MUST be present for this visit. Following the visit, you will receive a report with your rebate options. You have 10 days to reach out to contractors for a quote, and 60 days to complete the upgrades.

Can I use any contractor to complete my irrigation upgrades?

Once you apply for the program, Broward County staff will provide you with a list of licensed vendors to choose from. Remember,  you have 60 days from your initial system evaluation to install the upgrades.

When will I receive my rebate?

Your rebate will arrive via mail within 60 days of installation confirmation.
