Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment

The City of Wilton Manors received a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to conduct a sea level rise vulnerability assessment, to identify high risk geography and infrastructure, and to identify and plan mitigation efforts.

As part of the project, the City formed a steering committee. Committee members represent a variety of perspectives and include public officials, members of the business community, technical experts, coastal scientists, and representatives of local special interest groups. In addition to providing guidance, steering committee members worked directly with the City so that components of the planning process and of the Vulnerability Assessment follow professional standards and reflect community-specific needs.
