[ARCHIVED] Permit Fees Waived

permit

The City Commission has reduced permit fees for hurricane-related construction through January 31, 2018.

The reduction of building permit fees will be by 25% (excluding Board of Rules & Appeals Fee, Educational Fee, Florida Building Permit Surcharge, Florida Building Code Administrators & Inspection Fund, and Technology Access Fee).

Building permits to be considered for the relief include: fencing, windows and doors, existing shed replacement, and re-roofs.

The reduction in building permit fees will continue through January 31, 2018.  The reduction in building permit fees is to assist residents, property owners and commercial business owners in the City to restore their property and return to normal operations as quickly as possible. In addition to the reduction of building permit fees, these permits will also be prioritized for review and inspection. Residents, property owners, and commercial business owners will be requested to submit photos and/or other documentation of the damage caused by Hurricane Irma. The Building Official will review the submitted documentation and determine if the scope of work qualifies for the reduction in building permit fees.
