Grab your paddle and team up for one of Wilton Manors’ most iconic traditions — the 33rd Annual Island City Canoe Race! This lively relay adventure brings teams from across South Florida together to compete, connect, and celebrate the Island City spirit on the beautiful Middle River.
The race kicks off at Colohatchee Boat Ramp and winds through the scenic waterways of Wilton Manors, featuring multiple exchange points where paddlers tag in and out before crossing the finish line at Richardson Historic Park & Nature Preserve. Along the way, you’ll find cheering spectators, splashing oars, and plenty of friendly competition.
After crossing the finish line, stick around for a community celebration featuring a DJ, picnic, food, and refreshments — plus the trophy and certificate ceremony honoring this year’s winning teams. Whether you’re racing, cheering from shore, or celebrating afterward, this event captures the heart and excitement of Wilton Manors like no other.
Don’t miss this beloved annual tradition — part competition, part community party, and 100% fun on the water!
