Public Art Advisory Board
About the Public Art Advisory Board
The Wilton Manors Public Art Board fosters creativity and enriches the community by promoting and supporting public art throughout the city. Its mission is to engage residents and visitors with dynamic artistic expressions while ensuring that public art contributes to the city's identity and quality of life.
The Public Art Advisory Board (PAAB) is an advisory board appointed by the City Commission, consisting of seven (7) members. The board is structured to include three arts professionals and two City residents with a strong interest and knowledge of visual arts. The remaining two members may either be arts professionals or City residents. Arts professionals must either own an art-related business within the City or be professionally involved in the Wilton Manors arts community, though they are not required to be residents of the City. The PAAB plays a critical role in reviewing artists’ credentials and conceptual design proposals, providing recommendations to ensure that public art projects align with the City’s cultural and aesthetic vision. The appointed term for this office is two years.
The Public Art Advisory Board holds its quarterly meetings on the first Tuesday of February, May, August, and November at 5:00 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers located at 2020 Wilton Drive. Please click here to view the 2025-2026 Public Art Board meeting dates.
